虚拟语气是一种表明假设状态的句型，由if引导的状语从句和主干构成，根据时态的不同能够分为下列4种基本句型。

纯条件的虚拟语气

与将来情况相反的虚拟语气

1 纯条件的虚拟语气

运用纯条件的虚拟语气时，if从句的动词用现在时，而主句则往往是现在时的神态动词加动词原形。句型如下：

If + 主语 + 一般现在时动词，主语 + will/may/can/shall/must/ought to/should +动词原形

Ifhe is here, I will beat him.

Ifanyone makes such a mistake, he must be punished.
